Author: Irene Dixon The whole concept of pedestrian visibility captured my interest a few years ago. Working as a Registered Nurse for many years in critical ICU areas, I witnessed first hand, the trauma and suffering that vehicle/pedestrian accidents left on the lives of patients and their families. Burns, head injuries, broken bones and broken hearts were all part of the journey that patients travelled toward healing and restoration. After leaving nursing, I felt impelled to try making a difference by drawing on my nursing background and business experience in combination with my love of sewing and design to come up with a solution that could help pedestrians protect themselves and their loved ones from unnecessary tragedy and heart break. Reflective Advantage was born out of a passion to help protect vulnerable road users by offering stylish, easy to wear options that make them visible in daylight, at nighttime and in low light conditions such dawn and dusk. No one can guarantee your safety but you can give yourself and your loved ones a Visible, Reflective Advantage. And that’s what this is all about. Tip the scales in your favour. Be safe…be seen!
